How to insert:

So, here's the lowdown: Menstrual discs are designed to sit at the base of the vaginal canal, just beneath the cervix. Unlike menstrual cups, which are more or less in the middle of the vaginal canal and use suction to stay in place, discs rest in a space called the vaginal fornix. It's a bit like a shallow pocket around your cervix.

To insert a disc, you squeeze it to make it narrow, then slide it back and up into your vagina. The aim is to tuck the front edge of the disc up and behind your pubic bone. This positioning keeps it secure and allows it to collect menstrual blood. Because of where it sits, discs can typically stay in place even during sex, capturing menstrual fluid without getting in the way.

The Eco Period disc is designed with removal in mind, meaning you don't have to worry about it being out of reach. To remove it, you hook your finger into the removal tab and gently pull it forward out from behind the fornix and down. The pubic bone acts almost like a shelf, helping to keep the disc in place, but it also provides a guide for where you can remove it from.

It's unlikely for the disc to move out of reach since its placement is quite strategic to stay put beneath the cervix and behind the pubic bone, even with movement or during sex. However, everyone's anatomy is a bit different, so there might be a bit of a learning curve as you get used to insertion and removal.
